was born on the 4th August, 1951 in Gaziantep, Turkey and lived my childhood
in Istanbul. I have studied at the Gaziantep Private High School.
My talent for painting attracted my teachers’ attention. I also worked with
marbling (ebru), batik, textile colour techniques and stained glass.
Furthered by my teacher, the interest and admiration I have for the art of
painting has been turned into a serious and conscious occupation.
I moved to Ankara in 1983, but live now in Istanbul since 2000.
I attended the oil painting classes of Lütfü Günay and Ismail Acar and the
water colour painting classes of Hikmet Duruer, Işıl Özışık as well as Sabri
Akça. I had the chance to study art works in various national and
international museums. I continue working with water colour and oil in my
personal atelier in Istanbul.
I am a member of the International Plastic Art Society ("U.P.S.D."), GESAM,
the Ankara Women Artists Association ("A.K.R.D.") and the Watercolour
Artists Group ("S.R.G.").
I have opened seven individual exhibitions and participated in numerous
group exhibitions. I also participate regularly in the exhibitions of the
groups and associations I am involved with. My paintings are part of
selected and private collections and bank collections in Turkey and abroad.
