Süheyla Zengin 17.07 - 26.07

I was born in Malatya. After finishing the Mustafa Kemal High School for Teachers in Malatya I graduated from the Economic Department of the Anadolu University.

Struggling with my life and duties at the Istanbul Financial Office I finally gave in to my passion for painting and turned towards watercolour technique. The colours and transparency of this technique gave my pictures a poetic quality.

Copying the watercolours of the painter Ruzin Gerçin and liking the results very much, gave me courage to express my enthusiasm in my own style and brought me to intensify my development in this branch.   

I was further educated in the workshops of the painters Ebülfez Fereçoğlu and Sabir Mehtiyev.

While painting I try to flowingly express nature's  or an object's substance pointillistically  and try to connect the expressive outcome with their formal values; I try to paint in this manner because I believe that the visual effect of a colour  is hidden in its substance.

I am member of the Watercolour Painters Group of the Painters Association.
