Müge Gezen 03.10.- 12.10. 2014
Müge was born in 1979 in Izmir. As a child in
middle school her art teacher noticed her talent in visual arts and advised her
to take professional training.
Despite the opposition of her father, but with the support of the mother, she
decided to study art.
She took four years of courses in painting, sculpture, graphic design and art
history. With the support of highly qualified teachers she was able to take
courses at a high level. She took part in group exhibitions in the gallery of
the Museum of Painting and Sculpture in Izmir. She took her further education at
the Faculty of Fine Arts of Dokuz Eylül University. Her pictures were exhibited
in the galleries of the Faculty and the 'Yakin Kitabevi '.
After opening her own studio, she began to offer preparation courses for art
students. At the same time she held courses for children, pupils and adults. In
the summer of 2002 she went to Sweden to work in the studio of the painter Hasan
Ozdemir. In 2005-2006, she participated as a guest artist at painting workshops
of Tilburg University in the Netherlands. Here she experienced that her views
and sense of perspective and perception had changed a lot. She turned away
entirely from the classical and realistic style. Nowadays her work has
subconscious, expressionist and abstract elements. |
